Cat® Pipelayers feature high lifting capacity and travel speed to deliver pipe to the bending machine quickly and efficiently. The pipe bending crew will use a bending machine and a Cat Pipelayer to make slight bends in the pipe to account for changes in the pipeline route and to conform to the topography.
The Pipelayer's hydraulically driven precision draw works are used to manipulate the pipe inside the bending machine and to reposition the pipe after the bends have been made
