Caterpillar® Pipeline Products meet your backfilling needs. Once the pipe has been placed in the ditch, the ditch can be backfilled. This is accomplished with track-type tractors and hydraulic excavators that are engineered to provide maximum performance and increase productivity in the toughest applications. Backfilling crews take care to protect the pipe and coating as the soil is returned to the ditch. Subsoil is replaced first, followed by the topsoil.
