Face conveyors are the backbone of any longwall. They act as the guide for the plow or shearer and as an anchor for the advancing roof supports. High-performance Cat^® face conveyors are the most powerful transport systems in underground mining. In service worldwide, Cat face conveyors have achieved haulage rates of 5 000 tonnes per hour (5,512 tons per hour) and even greater at peaks.

The PF range offers the right line pan to suit different needs. The PF3 meets capacities of up to 1 300 tonnes (1,443 tons) per hour over the PF4 and PF 5, while the state-of-the-art PF 6 line pan meets capacities of up to 5 000 tonnes (5,512 tons) per hour.

The PF 6 and PF 5 were specially designed for use in difficult geological conditions such as abrasive mined material or seams with difficult adjacent rock.
