Caterpillar has received both Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Tier 4 Interim and California Air Resource Board (CARB) Tier 4 Interim certification for the Cat® 3516C-HD diesel generator set. This 60 Hz package offers highly efficient fuel consumption rates, compact footprint and lower emissions for prime power, peak shaving, standby and mission critical applications. Engine combustion technology combined with the Cat clean emissions module (CEM) - a diesel oxidation catalyst (DOC) and a selective catalytic reduction (SCR) module - results in a compact emissions reduction solution.
This diesel generator set also features:
