Alert operators at the first stages of sleep or distraction. Notify supervisors about impaired operators so they can take action. Start making changes to mitigate risks.
Operator Monitoring brings fatigue and distraction prevention into the cab. The dealer-installed Driver Safety System, which works in any brand of equipment, features special cameras that monitor an operator’s head and eye movements. When they detect fatigue or distraction, an alarm sounds and the seat vibrates. Onsite dispatchers also receive notifications so they can check in with the operator.
Safety advisors in the Caterpillar Fleet Monitoring Center confirm and classify any events and provide you with details about severity. They can also deliver weekly or monthly reports and customized analysis so you can view patterns over time.
