Cat® C32 – 50 Hz

Standby and Mission Critical

This C32 rating features higher power density for standby and mission-critical power applications while significantly lowering costs through reduced size and weight.

The newly-rated C32 has a smaller footprint and up to 44 percent more power density than competitive power solutions on the market today.

Power ratings for Cat® 3516C/E diesel generator sets will help customers in Western Europe and other global markets specify solutions that meet power needs and emissions targets with more precision.

Low-NOx, 50-Hz power ratings of 2,250 kVA, 2,500 kVA and 2,750 kVA have been designed for use in regulated emissions environments and applications. Three additional 50 Hz ratings of 3,000 kVA, 3,125 kVA, and 3,500 kVA with certification to U.S. EPA Tier 2 emissions regulations are also available. These gensets supply reliable backup power from an optimally sized engine that enables lower costs for transportation, installation, maintenance, and ancillary enclosures.

  • Designed to meet the NFPA power restoration requirement for Level 1 systems and accept 100 percent block load in one step.
  • Meets ISO 8528-5 G3 requirements for steady state and load acceptance.
  • Available with a low- or high-voltage frame alternator that enables quick load acceptance through exceptional motor starting capabilities to eliminate need to oversize genset due to motor starting requirements.
  • Uses the field-proven Cat ADEM™ A3 engine control module, which integrates all engine functions including ignition, governing, air-fuel ratio control, and engine protection.
