The Cat® 3516E diesel genset with a new 2,750 ekW rating for 60 Hz standby applications can help improve your return on investment with industry-leading power density. It is the latest in Cat 3500 Series, designed your specific site requirements.

This newly rated Cat 3516E generator set offers reliable backup power from a footprint of 220.8 square feet, saving up to 12 percent of installed space when compared with competing generator sets at similar ratings.

Five new 50 Hz low-emissions standby power ratings

New power ratings for Cat® 3516C diesel gensets will help customers in Western Europe and other global markets specify solutions that meet power needs and emissions targets with more precision.

Three low-NOx, 50-Hz power ratings of 2,250 kVA, 2,500 kVA and 2,750 kVA have been designed for use in regulated emissions environments and applications. Two additional 50-Hz ratings of 3,000 kVA and 3,125 kVA with certification to U.S. EPA Tier 2 emissions regulations are also now available.

These gensets supply reliable backup power from an optimally sized engine that enables lower costs for transportation, installation, maintenance, and ancillary enclosures.

  • Designed to meet the NFPA power restoration requirement for Level 1 systems and accept 100 percent block load in one step
  • Meets ISO 8528-5 G3 requirements for steady state and load acceptance
  • Available with a low- or high-voltage frame alternator that enables quick load acceptance through exceptional motor starting capabilities to eliminate need to oversize genset due to motor starting requirements.
  • Uses the field-proven Cat ADEM™ A3 engine control module, which integrates all engine functions including ignition, governing, air-fuel ratio control, and engine protection.

Cat 3512C 60 Hz Diesel Genset Power Density Ratings

Ratings for medium to large diesel generator sets, ranging from 1,250 ekW to 2,800 ekW, will significantly reduce customer’s installed costs. These generator sets have been re-engineered with the higher power densities requested by customers to meet increasingly challenging restrictions on capital, site size, and cost. 

Rated at 1,750 ekW for 60 Hz standby applications, the Cat 3512C offers reliable backup power from an optimally sized engine and a reduced overall footprint that delivers lower overall site preparation, transportation, installation and maintenance costs; reduced fuel consumption; and lower emissions.

 

The Cat 60 Hz 3512C generator set:

  • Has a competitive 151.56 square foot footprint saves up to 13 percent of installed space compared with competing generator sets at the same rating.
  • Meets the NFPA power restoration requirement for Level 1 systems and accepts 100 percent block load in one step.
  • Meets ISO 8528-5 G3 requirements for steady state and load acceptance and can be configured to meet U.S. EPA Emergency Regulations.
  • Can be equipped with a low- or high-voltage frame alternator for quick load acceptance through exceptional motor starting capabilities to minimize oversizing the generator set due to motor starting requirements.
  • Uses the field-proven Cat ADEM™ A3 ECM, which integrates ignition, governing, air-fuel ratio control, and engine protection.
