This year a total of 11,014 spectators visited the 23rd Cat Ladies Golf Tournament during the 3-day event. Saki Asai successfully defended her lead from the very first day to claim her first LPGA tour victory with a 3-day total of 10-under par.
At the awards ceremony, CFO Joseph Moscato and other executive officers from Caterpillar Japan presented Ms. Asai with the winner's trophy and 10.8 million yen in prize money. She was also awarded a CatⓇ 303E CR Mini Hydraulic Excavator, which is environmentally friendly with clean emissions and low noise, and perfect for golf course maintenance work.
In the latest Built For It™ Trials video titled "Driving Range," you can see the Ikeuchi twin sisters, Erimo and Marimo, both professional golfers and members of the Ladies Professional Golfers' Association of Japan (LPGA), hit a perfect shot on a golf course we had never seen before. The course was built by the Caterpillar Tinaja Hills Demonstration & Learning Center in the suburbs of Tucson, Arizona.
