Where are the CAT® Ladies' Extra Prize Machines Now?

Construction equipment is awarded as an extra prize to the winner of each CAT ladies' competition. Where and how is the equipment then used?

We traced the destination of the 901C2 mini wheel loader (launched in September 2015) awarded to 2018 winner Momoko Osato to the Kumamoto Prefectural University of Agriculture. Osato, a native of Kumamoto Prefecture, who experienced the April 2016 earthquake that caused great damage to the prefecture, wanted to contribute to her home region and decided to donate the equipment.

The 901C2 is used for stirring, which is essential for making good quality compost. A teacher representing the university explains, "We used to stir the compost by hand or borrow machines from other sections, but now we can do the work easily at any time using the 901C2. It has saved us a lot of time and cost." In addition to agricultural work, the machine has also been useful for cleaning mud and fallen leaves from the premises.
