Caterpillar to Showcase Marine Product Support at WorkBoat Maintenance & Repair Show

NEW ORLEANS – Caterpillar Marine today announced it will be showcasing its Cat®, MaK and Total Vessel Monitoring marine support products at the WorkBoat Maintenance & Repair Show , held April 14-16 in New Orleans, Louisiana. The show is the only commercial marine event in the United States dedicated to helping fleet managers, port captains, engineers and operators maintain and repair commercial vessels for top working conditions.

Visitors to the Caterpillar display at Booth 819 can learn about Cat Bundled Repair Kits available for Cat 3406, 3408, 3412, 3500 and C18 engines, as well as an array of Cat Reman parts. Backed with a one-year warranty, Reman parts are available individually or as part of complete Cat 3116 and 3126 engines.  Caterpillar will also be featuring MaK REParts services for the M32 turbocharger lip seal upgrade and MaK piston service, which are both cost-saving options for MaK customers.  Additionally, Caterpillar will be discussing Total Lifecycle costs for its engines utilizing customer parameters in real time with our Engine Cost Estimator (ECE) software.  The ECE software allows customers to understand the ten- or twenty-year lifecycle cost for engines with and without fuel given their operational parameters.

Booth attendees can also get information on the new Cat Extended Service Coverage (ESC) for the Cat 3500 engine gasket kits along with ESC options for Cat 3400 and C18 engine overhauls.
