This Cat Defense Product Line covers military modified Cat construction equipment supplied to the US Army, US Navy, USMC and USAF. This brochure includes products in the current construction equipment fleet and in the legacy construction equipment fleet (equipment identified for replacement). Other Caterpillar Services related to construction equipment that are offered to US Department of Defense customers are also covered.
The 621G scraper has a 17 cubic meter bowl and is capable of self loading and hauling over 23,500 kilograms of material. This scraper is also well suited for push loading and is a vital piece of equipment for the construction of roads and airfields.
The 621G water distributor is equipped with a rugged water distribution system capable of carrying over 30,000 liters of water as it supports construction and maintenance missions. It is equipped with a rotating water cannon and a 15 meter reeled hose making it a multi-purpose piece of equipment.
The 730 is a valuable military asset for construction projects. The truck is equipped with a 17 cubic meter body with a rated capacity of 28.1 tonnes. It is self-transportable with a top speed of 55 kph.
The 770 is designed with transportability in mind, incorporating MIL-STD-209K lift and tiedown provisions as well as being self-transportable with a top speed of 74.8 kph. The truck is equipped with a 25 Cubic Meter body capable of hauling up to 36.3 tonnes.
The D6T is equipped with either a hydraulic winch or a multi-shank ripper. The elevated sprocket design places the final drives above the work area, isolating them from ground induced impacts. The D6T is C5 or C17 air transportable in a drive-on, drive-off configuration.
The 10K ATFL has emerged as the forklift of choice on unimproved surfaces. This machine provides true rough terrain capability for work in adverse underfoot conditions. The 10K is capable of lifting and carrying 10,000 lbs (4,536 kilograms) and is able to reach a height of 2,438 milimeters fully loaded. It is C-130 air transportable.
The Multi Terrain Loader is a rubber belted skid steer machine with military modifications for sling loading and removable cab with crew protection kit.
The bulldozer is equipped
with either a hydraulic winch
or a multi-shank ripper. The
D6K provides unsurpassed
operational readiness for the
construction of airfields, roads,
landing zones, defensive berms,
anti-tank ditches, and other key
military construction missions.
The machine is equipped with
either a hydraulic winch, or
a multi-shank ripper. The
D7R-II provides unsurpassed
operational readiness for the
construction of airfields, roads,
landing zones, defensive
berms, anti-tank ditches, and
other key military construction
missions. This bulldozer
can also be used to pushload
scrapers, which greatly
increases worksite efficiency.
Equipped with auxiliary hydraulics,
the third function enables the operation of a
1.9 cubic meter multi-purpose bucket. The light
loader provides unsurpassed operational readiness
for the construction of airfields, roads, landing
zones, defensive berms, anti-tank ditches and
