Draglines are an important excavating tool used in many surface mining operations worldwide. These highly productive machines operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week and are able to reach depths of 79.8 m (262 ft) with capacities up to 116.2 m3 (152 yd3). Offering the lowest material removal cost per tonne (ton) and an average operating life of 40 years, draglines are the most productive and versatile machine in the industry.
