The Gainwell Doers ensure uninterrupted power supply to large parts of Odisha

COVID-19 seemed to have pressed the pause button in our lives. Everything suddenly seemed to have come to a halt. But it was work as usual for the Doers at Gainwell Commosales. They proudly continued to support essential services notified by the Government and worked fearlessly and tirelessly across the country to keep the essential services up and running.

The Doers at BCML-MARC Talcher, took up several hardships to fulfil their commitment to sustain the operations at Bhubaneswari Coal Mining Limited (BCML).

The coal produced by BCML powers the super critical power units of National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) along with Tata Steel BSL Limited, India's fifth largest flat steel producing company. In addition, Hirakud Power Plant of Hindalco Industries is also dependent on the coal generated by BCML.  

The Doers rendered critical service during the lockdown period without which the electricity supply to large parts of Odisha would have been severely impacted.

Parts Operation team plays a critical role in the maintenance of the machines

The Doers at Gainwell Commosales Parts Operation team demonstrated commendable efforts while reaching out to the customers during the lockdown period. The team addressed the emergency requirement of parts from MARC sites on time, ensuring that there were no holdups in the maintenance of the machines. 

Deliveries against payments were arranged for, with prescheduled pickup by customer representatives. The team also ensured the seamless clearance of the incoming shipments from Caterpillar by sea. They proactively connected and engaged with the customers over phone to check on the requirement for parts.

The Doers played a leading role to ensure that there are no disruptions in machine operations and subsequently to the essential services that these machines cater to.

  • Caterpillar CG170-12 biogas Gensets feeds power to the Grid.
  • Biogas Generation from Poultry waste
  • Waste Heat from Engine to utilized for Biomethanation .
