IRVING, Texas, March 5, 2025 – The Cat® 3101 Hydraulic Excavator is a purpose-built machine for coal mining that helps customers meet production targets, deliver on commitments, meet deadlines, and maximize profitability every shift. Equipped with the proven Cat® C18 TTA engine that delivers 568 kW (762 hp) of power, the Cat 3101 meets China Nonroad Stage III emission standards, has a 4460 mm (14 ft 8 in) wide track gauge, and has powerful swing torque. This provides superior stability while efficiently handling changes in momentum, uneven terrain, and consistent high-impact connections.

Equipped with a large stick-to-bucket boss bearing diameter to easily handle demanding applications and help boost productivity. Customers can turn payloads into profit with the 3101’s bucket compatibility from 8.5 m³ (11.1 yd³) GD bucket up to 10 m³ (13.08 yd³) coal bucket. Designed for the 3101, the 10m³ Coal bucket has rounded sidebars to help with retention, J600 tips for easier penetration, and an optimized weight/capacity ratio to help maximize material payload and boost productivity.
