The Design

Critical to the longer life you get from Heavy Duty undercarriage is Positive Pin Retention (PPR). This exclusive Caterpillar innovation is designed for high-impact and high-travel applications such as mining, heavy construction, pipe laying, demolition and scrap handling. It mechanically locks the link to the pin to resist pin walking and link cracking. This results in reliable sealing, maximum track life and reduced operating costs.
