Caterpillar upgrades Cat® Motor Grader Series engines to meet U.S. EPA Tier 4 Final and EU Stage V emissions standards

- Reduces key exhaust emissions compared to previous models
- Existing motor graders and Tier 3 engines will continue to be supported
Caterpillar announces that all Cat® Motor Grader models sold in Colombia will now be shipped with engines certified to meet U.S. EPA Tier 4 Final and EU Stage V emissions standards. The new engines significantly reduce key particulate matter (PM) and nitrogen oxide (NOx) exhaust emissions compared to counterpart engine models certified to U.S. EPA Tier 3- and EU Stage IIIA-equivalent standards previously marketed in the country.
The change affects all models sold in the region, including the various drive and steering options, marketed to the construction, aggregate, road building and mining industries. While motor graders with Tier 3- and Stage IIIA-equivalent engines will no longer be sold in Colombia, Caterpillar and Cat dealers in the region will continue to support existing engines and machines in the field.
