Jordan Tractor & Equipment Co. (JTEC), Cat® dealer for the service territory of Jordan, opened its doors to customers for a special event focusing on an increasingly important aspect of Caterpillar's philosophy: sustainability and reusability.
Held under the theme "Built to Be Rebuilt," the event highlighted how rebuilding and reusing parts help reduce costs and extend the life and performance of their machines. As well as the positive impact on the environment.
Afif Fathoni, Senior Training Consultant at Caterpillar and a component analysis specialist, explained the strict standards dealers must meet to identify parts that can be reused, remanufactured, or rebuilt without sacrificing performance. "What we're building here is confidence," he said. When dealers follow Caterpillar's rigorous process and customers see the depth of technician training required for certification, it builds strong trust."
Like all Cat® dealers in the program, Jordan Tractor's technicians are highly trained, completing 19 courses and undergoing regular testing. The facility must also meet Caterpillar's stringent standards for inspecting, rebuilding, and testing reused parts. Each part is then carefully checked against Caterpillar guidelines to ensure it matches new-part quality and comes with a 12-month warranty. As Afif noted, "It's not just inspecting parts, we're helping customers make smarter decisions.
One such customer is Jawdat Mohammad Mahmoud Bani Mufari, Maintenance Manager at Barqash Municipality, “Our experience has been very positive. The parts are reliable, cost-effective, and backed by a solid warranty support, allowing us to reduce costs and decrease downtime. We’ve also been able to significantly reduce our maintenance costs without compromising performance specially when new parts are not in stock.”

"To help our customers know where to focus and where Caterpillar divides components into levels. Level 1 refers to parts, such as seals, that need regular replacement, all the way up to Level 5, which take a long time to wear but when they do, will require complete overhauls. Level 2 and 3 parts, such as gears or crankshafts, are slow to wear and can often be safely reused." For those customers Tamer spoke to, the response was overwhelmingly positive. "Many customers were surprised how much they could save by simply taking care of their machine by focusing on the level of wear stages."
By the end of the event, Marc Jallad, Group Product Support Manager, JTEC, hoped that the message attendees took away was that "Rebuilding is not a second-best option. It's the smartest one. With programs like this, our customers can save money, reduce waste, be more sustainable and keep their operations running smoothly."
Or as Afif was keen to point out, "This isn't just about cost savings. It's about uptime, responsibility, and making sure Cat machines last as long as they were built to."
Jordan Tractor is proud to be part of this change. By helping customers understand their choices and offering expert support, they are proving that the future isn't just about building more. It's about rebuilding better.
