Heavy Duty Batteries
Cat® Heavy Duty (HD) batteries are used in all Cat machines and generator sets. With equipment operating in rough terrain, a battery must withstand extreme vibration. Cat HD batteries perform 3-5X better than industry standard in a 100-hour vibration test.
Overview
Caterpillar invests time and resources into delivering batteries that continue to perform, even in the toughest applications.
3-5X INDUSTRY STANDARD IN 100-HOUR VIBRATION TEST
Cat HD batteries reduce vibration forces without suffering mechanical damage, losing capacity or electrolytes, and developing leaks.
ROBUST PERFORMANCE
Cat batteries undergo a 72-hour deep discharge/charge test and a 30-day complete discharge/recharge test to ensure they perform to our high standards.
EXCELLENT RELIABILITY
Cat batteries also undergo heavy duty lifecycle and cold soak tests that simulate extreme conditions. The batteries must maintain their ability to start the engine.
