Meet the Iron
The centerpiece of every Caterpillar MINExpo experience is an exhibit filled with yellow iron, and MINExpo 2021 is no exception. We are displaying a number of new products — from an autonomous water truck and battery-electric underground loader, to an autonomous drill, an autonomous loader and two new dozers — one so new we brought a prototype from our proving ground.
R1700 XE UNDERGROUND LOADER
Making its debut at MINExpo, the R1700 XE is Caterpillar’s first underground battery-powered, zero-emissions machine, producing less heat and vibration.
MEC500 Charger
A first of its kind for the mining industry, the Cat MEC500 Mobile Equipment Charger is a stand-alone fast charging system designed to charge quickly and safely.
777G Water Truck
MINExpo was the official launch of the new Cat Water Solution, which includes a Cat truck, a Cat branded tank and an automated water delivery system and technology.
D11 XE DOZER
MINExpo visitors got a sneak peek of a prototype electric drive dozer set to become Caterpillar’s highest producing, most fuel-efficient dozer ever.
R2900 XE Underground Loader
A powertrain for the new R2900 XE underground loader gave MINExpo visitors an opportunity to learn more about this new diesel electric machine.
992 Wheel Loader
The 992 wheel loader on the floor at MINExpo has raised the bar once again, delivering higher productivity and longer life.
24 Motor Grader
Caterpillar brought its largest motor grader — the 24 — to MINExpo. The 24 delivers high uptime, boosts productivity and lowers operating costs.
MD6310 Rotary Drill
Enhanced by technology and built for autonomy, the MD6310 rotary drill on display at MINExpo was equipped with the Cat MineStar™ Command autonomous solution.
794 AC Mining Truck
Representing Cat ultra-class mining trucks on the MINExpo show floor, the autonomous Cat 794 AC electric drive truck equipped with MineStar Command for hauling.
Microgrid Solutions
Several solar panels and an energy storage unit represented Cat Microgrid Solutions at MINExpo. The system integrates renewable power with smart energy storage.
Next Generation Mining Truck Cab
The next generation of productive hauling begins with the operator, demonstrated by the new Next Generation Large Mining Truck cab displayed at MINExpo.
Next Generation 6060 shovel cab
Caterpillar displayed a next generation cab for the 6060 Hydraulic Mining Shovel, a loader that works harder, lasts longer and operates more efficiently.

The Caterpillar MINExpo 2021 display featured three of our reliable engines, all put through to the test a wide range of everyday and extreme conditions.
