CAT® WHEEL EXCAVATOR GETTING MORE DONE FASTER IN OKLAHOMA
Cash-strapped governments everywhere are looking for versatile work solutions. In Tulsa County, Oklahoma, Highway District #3, the people building and maintaining county roads have been testing the Cat® M320F Wheel Excavator, and they say it’s getting the job done. In fact, with an array of Cat work tools, it’s doing many jobs.
“We mainly use it for ditching and driveway setting. But we also want to be able to set heavier pipe and dig ditches with it,” says Bob Hayes, Highway District #3’s lead mechanic. “I think we’re also looking at a jackhammer for the operation. We’ll be able to do even more at a faster pace once our operators are used to the piece of equipment.”
Warren Cat Machine Sales and Rental Representative Charlie Meyer says the combination of the wheeled excavator and work tools gives Tulsa County everything they want in a single package. “We really now have something to talk about.”
