Small Wheel Loader Controls: Programmable Kickouts

Programmable kickouts are one of the most beneficial Cat wheel loader controls, allowing the operator to save different lift and tilt positions and recall them with a simple motion of the joystick. They are programmed in the cab, through the soft-touch button panel and work in combination with the soft detents in the joystick, bringing on a Cat exclusive snubbing feature, as well as wrapout. 

How to Set Up

Cat wheel loader controls are designed to be simple and effective. With a simple two-second push and hold, operators can program their tilt position. Once that is set, they can use the same two-second push and hold to program their lower position. Finally, the operator can raise the small wheel loader’s linkage to use the push and hold to program their upper condition.

How To Use

First, return to your kickouts. You can use the soft detents in the small wheel loader’s joystick to automatically return the linkage to the programmed set points. Now, you can turn your kickouts on and off with a simple toggle of each. The display is simple to understand: When the light goes out, the feature goes out; when the light comes on, the feature comes on.

Small Wheel Loader Controls: Level Bucket Condition

This is when operators can back away from the hopper, and once it’s clear, you can push it into float. When you do, the linkage is going to float down and catch itself at that pre-programmed set point. That is when you will access the small wheel loader controls, using the kickouts to return the linkage to programmed set points, as well as using the wrapout to shake out material between piles.
