Using Slope Assist on Your Cat® Dozer

Cat® Grade with Slope Assist is a two-dimensional grade control system that helps maximize productivity. It is accurate to within 1% of the mainfall blade slope, so you’ll want to start using this function as soon as possible. Cat® Grade with Slope Assist automatically maintains pre-established blade position without a GPS signal — no additional hardware or software needed.

HOW DOES SLOPE ASSIST WORK? [00:33] 

  • There are two modes: basic and advanced.

  • Use basic mode to maintain desired mainfall (lift) and blade slope (tilt).

  • Use advanced mode to recall slope, match slope, swap slope and set increment/decrement.


USE SLOPE ASSIST SETTINGS TO ADJUST: [01:05] 

  • Modes

  • Blade slope 

  • Joystick increment and decrement

  • Valve speed 

  • Blade wear

It's important to adjust blade wear settings to maintain Slope Assist accuracy.
