Your Agriculture Holiday Gift Guide

Your Agriculture Holiday Gift Guide

Ben Rice | Agriculture Industry Representative

The holidays are almost here so it’s time to make your list and check it twice! This year, we’ve outlined the things you need on your wish list for your farm and family (and maybe a treat for yourself too) in our agriculture holiday gift guide.

For Your Farm

Keeping things running smoothly on your farm during the winter months is important. Luckily, there are plenty of tools that can help boost your productivity and efficiency in wintry weather.

Square Bale Grabs

Since many animals don’t have as much access to pasture in the winter, you need to have plenty of hay ready on your farm in the winter months in order for them to feed. Bale grabs make it easy to pick up and transport round or square hay bales.

Traveling around the farm is a little easier with a Cat UTV. Plus, it’s perfect for hauling and can tow up to 2,000 pounds.

And don’t forget parts! Hoses and filters are great items to stock up on now so you’ll be prepared for 2020.

Snow Plow or Snow Blade

Winter means one thing for some folks – lots and lots of snow. If you live in a region that regularly experiences heavy snowfall, then a Cat® snow plow attachment for your skid steer, backhoe or compact track loader is the perfect attachment for your farm this season. Thanks to things like a profiled mold board and blade float, efficiently clearing snow will be no problem.

Fork Positioner and Side Shift Fork

Whether you’re moving pallets or transporting oddly shaped materials, a fork positioner for your skid steer or compact wheel loader is invaluable. It allows you to hydraulically increase or reduce the gap between forks, giving you both increased speed and the ability to adjust the forks to the object you’re lifting. A side shift fork is another useful attachment when it comes to efficient loading, giving you the ability to shift the fork from left to right or right to left. This helps achieve faster load times since your machine doesn’t have to be perfectly aligned in order to finish the job.

This is also prime time to check out some association memberships – they provide valuable professional development tools and discounts on Cat products.

Farm Bureau (FB)

  • Get the next generation ready to grow with the Young Farmers and Ranchers Program. Women and men from ages 18-35 are using FB memberships to gain the tools and training they need to become more effective agriculture advocates.
  • Join the Farm Bureau Patriot Project and volunteer to mentor military veteran beginning farmers and ranchers.

National Cattlemen's Beef Association (NCBA)

  • Access valuable educational information through live demonstrations, National Cattlemen magazine and online courses.
  • Network with producers from all across the country and discuss the common issues you all face.

For Your Family

If you’re looking for new attachments this year, or just want to pick up some swag for your family, we hope this gift guide is helpful. For more gift ideas, check out ShopCaterpillar.com.
