In an effort to bring even greater levels of efficiency to your jobsites, Caterpillar offers a range of automated, operator-assist and remote-control technologies for numerous applications. Fully autonomous construction machines are under development. The first to launch will be a fully autonomous soil compactor. And more innovations are on the way to make every site as safe and productive as possible.
For decades, the world’s mines have relied on Cat autonomous products to keep people out of harm’s way. Along the way, they’ve discovered numerous other advantages, including better efficiency, greater productivity and lower costs. Now, Cat automated solutions — and their benefits — are making their way into the construction industry as we work to make sure operations of all sizes can work more safely and productively.
Today, Caterpillar is building on proven Cat Command technology by launching a complete remote-control and semi-autonomous product line for construction. In addition, testing is underway on fully autonomous machines for construction applications. In the year ahead, the autonomous footprint in construction will expand to include an even wider range of products that provide greater jobsite safety and efficiency, as well as improve productivity and enhance maintenance capabilities.
