Since 1987, Din Textile Mills, Ltd. has produced premium yarn for domestic and international markets. However, a recent influx of imported yarn has reduced demand throughout the region, resulting in reduced prices. In order to compete with low-priced imports, Din requires safe, uninterrupted power to ensure continuous production of yarn for its regional and international customers.
Its current power solution includes two Cat® 3612 furnace oil generator sets that have supplied reliable power for nearly 100,000 hours over 21 years. Tariq Shahab Ansari, technical director at Din Textile Mills, claims the long-term success of these gensets is “a testament to the durability of Cat products, the expertise of our maintenance staff, and the reliability of our local Cat dealer, Allied Engineering & Services, Ltd., who delivered genuine Cat parts when we needed them.”
Allied trained Din staff on regular maintenance as well as day-to-day operations of their generator sets. With support from their local dealer over the years, technical staff from Din were equipped with the knowledge and proficiency to successfully perform a fourth overhaul of their gensets independently.
Din Textile Mills continues to work with Allied to carry out regularly scheduled maintenance, ensuring optimal performance, continuity of operations, and peace of mind.
