R2900 XE DIESEL ELECTRIC UNDERGROUND LOADER

The R2900 XE is a diesel-electric machine, which can operate more efficiently in some applications to burn less fuel. Diesel-electric engines also serve as a building block for a future transition to battery-electric power. Its powertrain was displayed on the MINExpo show floor.

Trolley Assist

The 794 AC truck on the MINExpo show floor is one of three Cat electric drive trucks that can be fitted with a trolley assist attachment, which can reduce emissions up to 60% when the truck is being powered by the electric grid.
