WHEN SHOULD I NOT USE THE ENGINE IDLE CONTROL SWITCH?
If you are using tools that require intermittent power (kick on and off automatically or manually) or you have multiple large loads connected, you should turn off idle control mode (turn the switch to “O” position) to avoid possible engine stall. When starting your generator, allow the engine to reach normal operating temperatures before turning on the low idle mode - this will shorten warm up times.
