All new Cat portable generator products are covered for normal use for a warranty period of two (2) years from the date of original purchase or 1000 operating hours, whichever occurs first. If proof of original purchase is not presented when requesting warranty service (you have the option to upload a copy of your receipt on cat.com during the warranty registration process for safekeeping) the manufacturer's shipping date will be used to determine the start of the warranty period.  

Customers (original purchasers) also have the option to extend the Warranty Period by one (1) year for a total of three (3) years by registering their Cat generator on the warratny section within thirty (30) days from the date of purchase.  

Parts and accessories, including batteries on RP7500 E and RP6500 E models, are covered by a separate 1-year warranty.
