Cat^® Credits

Cat^® Credits are a credit discount that helps reduce the cost of your next Cat purchase. You can earn them through Cat^® Rewards activities, Cat^® Commercial Account purchases, special promotions from Caterpillar and your dealer, and other qualifying opportunities.

Cat Credits are easy to earn, simple to spend and built into your everyday work with Caterpillar. Once earned, you can spend them on parts and service purchases, rentals and more with your local participating Cat dealer in store and on parts.cat.com and the Cat^® Central app, where available.

Cat Credits expire, typically within one year, so plan ahead to use them on parts, service or other qualifying purchases before they expire.

Caterpillar customers who have received a Cat Credits electronic certificate (referred to below as the e-Certificate), whether awarded due to Cat Rewards or through another customer incentive program, must use the Cat Credits in accordance with all rules set forth below and any stated on the e-Certificate.

Enrollment in Cat Rewards is required to receive Cat Credits; Sunsetting of Cat Credits without Cat Rewards enrollment

• As of March 2, 2026, subject to certain exceptions, the general rules of Cat Credits shall require a recipient’s enrollment in Cat Rewards prior to redemption. Cat Credits issued under earning programs such as a services commitment prepaid maintenance contract or a Caterpillar service recovery program embedded in an ongoing offering entered into prior to March 2, 2026 shall be accessible and redeemable in person at a Caterpillar dealer, with any online access and redemption requiring Cat Rewards enrollment after March 2, 2026.

• Customers not wanting to participate in Cat Rewards should neither accept a Cat Credit award nor follow the path to enrollment. If a customer receives notice of a Cat Credit award and does not immediately join Cat Rewards, the Cat Credits award shall expire at the stated expiration date, regardless of date of acceptance or the date of enrollment in Cat Rewards.

• Cat Credits can only be applied to purchases of parts, service, sales, work tools and rentals of Cat equipment at participating Cat dealers, Cat Rentals^TM, on parts.cat.com or Cat Central (collectively, “Authorized Vendors”), in the country of issuance (such purchases are “Qualifying Purchases”). Cat Credits cannot be applied to purchases of new or used machines.

• Cat Credits may not be used to purchase items for personal, family, or household use.

• Cat Credits are not legal tender and cannot be redeemed for cash or cash equivalents (such as gift cards or gift certificates).

• If a customer is permitted by a participating Cat dealer or other Authorized Vendor to return a purchase made with Cat Credits, such customer will not be refunded in cash or cash equivalent any portion of the cost of the purchase covered with the Cat Credits. If the Cat Credits used for the purchase has not yet expired as of the date of the return, the customer shall receive a refund of the value of the prior-applied discount back to the original Cat Credits record and the original expiration date shall apply.

• Customers will have a set amount of time to use the Cat Credits from the date of its issuance. The issuance date is stated on the face of the Cat Credits e-Certificate.

• If Cat Credits are part of a Cat Rewards redemption, such Cat Credits will expire two years from the date of issuance.

• Expiration dates on Cat Credits may vary. Please check the e-Certificate details to determine the applicable expiration date. Cat Credits expire at 4 p.m. (CST) on the designated expiration date. Once the Cat Credits e-Certificate has expired, unused credit is forfeited.  Cat Credits cannot be extended. Cat Credits e-Certificate holders not redeeming the full value of their Cat Credits by the expiration date of such Cat Credits will not be able to recover the unused credit.

• Cat Credits, whether earned from Cat Rewards or granted through another customer incentive program, may not be used towards satisfying balances on any indebtedness held by Caterpillar Financial, or any of its affiliates or subsidiaries, including Caterpillar Financial Commercial Account Corporation.

• Unless a particular incentive program otherwise permits, Cat Credits will not be issued to any state or municipal government entity, public institution, or any tribal entity. Cat Credits are not to be issued to any U.S. federal agency or institution. 

• Cat Credits, whether earned from Cat Rewards or granted through another customer incentive, are not to be applied towards dealer house accounts and any such use discovered will be charged back to the participating Cat dealer or other Authorized Vendor on account of it not constituting a Qualifying Purchase.

• Availability to apply Cat Credits to purchases on Parts.cat.com and Cat Central varies by Cat dealer. Registered (or Customer Specific Pricing / CSP) Parts.cat.com or Cat Central users who apply their Cat Credits on Parts.cat.com or Cat Central can redeem up to $10,000 Cat Credits in a single instance. Guest (or Instant Access) parts.cat.com or Cat Central users who apply their Cat Credits on Parts.cat.com or Cat Central can redeem up to $2,500 Cat Credits in a single instance. 

• Cat Credits e-Certificate holders might be required to verify their identity by Cat Financial, a participating Cat dealer or other Authorized Vendor by providing photo identification, supplying information about the commercial owner of the e-Certificate or by providing any other information deemed necessary to minimize the risk of fraud. 

• A participating Cat dealer or any other Authorized Vendor may require any person who represents that he or she is an authorized representative of the Cat Credits owner to provide identification and/or proof of authorization.

• Cat Credits can only be used to purchase in the country of issuance.

• While Caterpillar makes reasonable efforts to minimize opportunities for fraud relating to Cat Credits e-Certificates, it cannot be liable for thefts of e-Certificates caused by security breaches or other forms of theft. Loss of a Cat Credits due to theft or fraud are unrecoverable.

• Customers are only eligible to redeem Cat Credits issued to them as shown on the face of the e-Certificate, since they are not transferable.
