Production Analysis Team
The Production Analysis Team (PAT) truck or scale truck is a service that’s been around since Demonstration and Learning Centers first opened their doors.
The aim of the PAT is to provide Caterpillar dealers and customers with the ability to perform a professional and complete production study of specific machines on a customer's job site.
We can perform through evaluation of the job layout, operator technique and ability, as well as production rates of products being used on the job. We can determine current production and then offer suggestions for increasing production through improved layout, improved operator techniques or machine replacement recommendations. In addition to increasing production, we can also show ways to lower the total operating costs and improve profitability.
Each facility has its own truck equipped with an office, crane and scales to conduct offsite production studies. The Edwards and Tinaja Hills trucks are also equipped with a skid steer.
The trucks can be taken to quarries and job sites to collect weight data and record cycle times to measure the amount of material moved. This valuable information is used to identify production and production gaps to help the customers’ bottom line and make sure they’re getting the most out of their Cat® equipment.
