Morning light spills across Moultonborough, New Hampshire as the growl of a Cat® 275 Compact Track Loader breaks the silence. Another day, another jobsite, just like it's been at Miracle Farms since 1998. Founder Chris Maroun and his wife moved to Moultonborough to raise their kids in a rural setting and quickly discovered the need of landscapers in the area. “I came up here with a couple of hand tools and a lot of motivation,” said Maroun.
Today, Miracle Farms has grown tremendously as a family business, now with their kids playing a role in the operation.
Building a business from scratch is never easy and for Maroun, the pressure hit early. After moving his family to small-town Moultonborough and betting everything on Miracle Farms, demand took off faster than he could staff up. Local labor was scarce, and Maroun was facing a make-or-break moment for his operations. Drawing upon his past experiences, Chris made a call to a trusted former employee based in Puerto Rico. This call would shape the future of the company. Now, Miracle Farms boasts a team of 165 workers from Puerto Rico, many of whom now live in the area with family year-round. One worker, Jose Mejias, is a heavy equipment operator who gained new technical skills after joining the Miracle Farms team.
"When I first started here, I didn't even know how to use a tape measure,” said Mejias. “Now I operate loaders and excavators.”
“[My employees are] not afraid of hard work, and they come in everyday motivated to work. It's been a great recipe for their success and for our success,” says Maroun, “Moultonborough has been fantastic and embraced it, and we really have a great relationship with the town.”
Eight months. That’s all Miracle Farms gets before the New Hampshire winter slams the brakes on many outdoor jobs. So, when the season hits, the crew moves fast and so do their machines. Cat Compact Track Loaders grip into sloped, rocky ground, pushing through uneven terrain without hesitation. Nearby, skid steers lift and haul like clockwork, while excavators dig in with precision. Every machine has a role. Every hour matters. Thanks to their local dealer, Milton Cat, the team always keeps their work moving and machines taken care of.
“Milton Cat has bailed us out of many predicaments that we've been in, and are always willing to lend a helping hand,” said Hayden Maroun, Head of Operations at Miracle Farms.
Cat support has been there for Miracle Farms every step of the way. Over the years, they’ve grown from owning just a few Cat machines to a lineup of nearly 40. Equipped with tools to track and maintain their equipment, like VisionLink® and Customer Value Agreements (CVAs), they keep their machines in peak condition. And their relationship with Milton is more than work; it's a real partnership that helps Miracle Farms do what they do best.
“[Milton] always has exceptional customer service, and they always treat us as if we're their only client,” Hayden said.
Thanks to the right people and the right machines, Miracle Farms is just getting started. More than just a business, Miracle Farms is a thriving community that continues to grow—bringing families together, creating jobs and leaving a lasting impact on Moultonborough for years to come.
